Digital Signage options.
Many companies are using digital signage to attract more customers and have a maximum reach on their marketing campaigns. So let us look at the varied hardware solutions.
Interactive digital signage.
These have a display that is either single or multiple touch, so customers touch the display and engage with the advertising campaigns. The media is stored on a local computer or hard drive that is connected to the Internet for instant updates from remote head offices.
Digital signage hardware.
Non touch or USB is a range of hardware that is not connected to the Internet, so any updates have to be caried out by hand and is ideal for a single small installation of digital advertising. The content can be compeling to engage with prospects, but cannot be interactive or touch screen. These are the most cost effective and entry level solutions available.
Beacon digital signage.
This is when a cloud based signage solution is set up usually in a retail environment, the digital displays receives the marketing offer from the head office across the network of stores and then the ad content is displayed on the screens, the integrated Bluetooth technology then broadcasts the advertising message to customers cell phones whilst in the store. These help in the increase sales for seasonal items and can be used in clothing or gocery applications. this can in the form of a discount coupon redeemable at the checkout or online, or even a pre-order discount.
Sunlight bright digital signage.
This is the hardware that you see in outdoor shopping malls or in Quick Serve Restaurant Drive Thru’s, that are likely to encounter direct sunlight on the display. Usually this makes the display unreadable and causes the display to fail, now these sunlight bright hardware enables digital signage to deployed any place even in direct sunlight without any failure of the hardware.
Then there are floor standing solutions for both indoor and outdoor digital advertising uses, usually used in hospitality or retail environments. The range vary with displays as small as 17″ to kiosks with screens of 85″. The larger displays are normally network controlled and used to advertise leading brands in locations such as airports or train stations. Interactive solutions are used in educational campuses, shopping malls and even hotels for express checkout.
